Sadler (shoulder) is scheduled to face live hitters next week in the Arizona Complex League, the team's official site reports.
Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said last week that he expects Sadler (shoulder) to be ready to resume pitching in games around the All-Star break, MLB.com reports. "He's made a lot of progress since we shut him back down, so he's feeling better, and we're hopeful that he will be back and be able to avoid a second surgical procedure," Hollander said of Sadler.
Has a solid pitchers' frame (6-3, 205 pounds) and can induce plenty of groundball outs when on his game. Is a real gamer when on the mound. Does not have a true strikeout pitch, so he can be too hittable for the highest level. Also, when his pitches elevate he gets hammered (even in the minors).
Long Range Potential: Decent right-hander.
