Atlanta selected Rodriguez's contract from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
Scouting Report
Owns a big arm and definite strikeout ability. Has good genes as the son of MLB Hall-of-Fame catcher Ivan Rodriguez. Can be used as either a starter or reliever in the minors. Lacks ideal size for a big-league pitcher. May not have the stamina or pitching arsenal to become a rotation member at the highest level, so his future may be strictly as a reliever.
Long Range Potential: Power right-hander with a little upside.
