Payamps earned the save Sunday against the Mets after he retired all three batters he faced with one strikeout in the ninth inning.
Has a live arm and can strike plenty of batters out at lower levels. Can be dominant when on top of his game. Has plenty of bouts of wildness, both in terms of his control and command, so he needs to become more consistent. Was at one point a wiry body type, but he filled out his frame nicely over time. A former starter, he may have found his niche as a reliever.
Long Range Potential: Inconsistent but talented and versatile right-hander.
