Scouting Report
Had great sinking action on a fastball that hit the mid-90's, as well as a dominant overhand curve, a decent changeup and a slider. Could at times be unhittable when on the bump and was also a workhorse. Did not always have great command of his breaking stuff, which got him into trouble. Left-handed hitters did better against him than righty bats, in general. Injuries were a factor early on in his career, but he turned out to be one of the most durable starting pitchers of his era.
Long Range Potential: Outstanding right-hander.
