Scouting Report
Had patience at the plate and was a good RBI man. Was athletic and possessed a sweet left-handed swing that generated excellent power. Displayed a solid arm and could play all three outfield positions. Struggled to hit with consistency against left-handed pitching, which hindered his number of at-bats (especially later in his MLB career). Was also too streaky at the dish. His health deteriorated with time.
Long Range Potential: Solid, versatile outfielder, when healthy.
