Giavotella signed a minor-league contract with the White Sox on Saturday and will report to Double-A Birmingham.
Scouting Report
Has pretty good pop in his bat and can draw a fair amount of walks. Also makes consistent contact without striking out much. Excels in the minor leagues. Is a bit undersized. Needs to improve his defensive work, especially at his natural position (second base). Lacks consistency in all areas in the bigs.
Long Range Potential: Depth infielder.
