The Angels sent Kolarek outright to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Scouting Report
Owns a decent frame (6-3, 215 pounds) and the ability to get left-handed batters out with consistency due to a deceptive, three-quarter delivery. Can strike a lot of batters out in the minors. His delivery is difficult to repeat, so a lack of control and command of his pitches are at the root of his issues; he will need to limit the number of walks he issues at the highest level.
Long Range Potential: Situational left-hander.
