A gifted and electric playmaker, he was fearless and confident with the ball in his hands. Acted as a court general on the floor. Was also a clutch shooter with a lot of nice moves to get his shot off, as well as a pretty good passer. Could take over games as a lead scorer for stretches. Was highly undersized, which made him a defensive liability (and also led to durability issues). Was more of a pass-first point guard, overall. Lacked consistency (he played like a star at times and like a role player at others), and was also prone to turning the ball over. Injuries were also an issue for him throughout his career.
