Scouting Report
'Rip' was a superb mid-range scorer: quick, smart, smooth, and got good separation. Consistently beat defenders who overplayed him by going hard to the hoop. Hit for high percentages (from the field and freebie line) and was a very good passer who could even play some point guard. Always lacked muscle mass, and so he wore down with advanced age. Could be a bit too streaky from beyond the arc. While a solid on-the-ball defender, he was not a big ball thief or rebounder.
Long Range Potential: Star shooting guard.
