A lefty who could score from anywhere on the floor, he was exceptionally skilled and athletic for a post player. Despite his lack of ideal bulk, he was a top-tier defender and a good rebounder. Got to the charity stripe constantly (and made a lot of his free throws). Was also a very active passer for a big man. Displayed smarts and provided leadership. Unfortunately, blood clots ended his career prematurely. Also, he did not have ideal muscle mass for the low post in the NBA and struggled to contain explosive and/or massive opponents on the block. Was not a top-tier shot-blocker. Despite great efficiency in most areas, he could get turnover-prone for stretches.
