Extremely smart and focused, on and off the field, he was a true technician who could lead the offensive line at either guard or center. Used his great strength and huge hands to maximum effect in tying up assignments quickly. Adjusted to the situation and was excellent in zone setups. Was mature and a true team leader. Was not a jumbo-sized blocker, and he did not make up for it with ideal speed or athleticism for an offensive lineman. Struggled at times in the National Football League in man-to-man situations and drew a few too many holding flags as a result (especially when in pass protection).
Long Range Potential: Intelligent interior offensive lineman with great heart and technique.
