Was very explosive and powerful off the snap and used his fantastic wingspan to reel in tackles. Possessed excellent strength and athleticism to get into the backfield. A high-energy battler, he could manhandle some blockers and had the athleticism to improve his craft. Was somewhat raw in his technique and not really fast in the open field. Lacked instincts and the ability to develop better moves. Had little speed rush coming off the edge. Could play either defensive tackle or defensive end, as required.
