Well-sized for the NFL pocket, he excels in play-action. Uses his quick release to get rid of the ball in a hurry and has decent arm strength. Is pretty mobile when plays break down and can throw effectively on the move. Is confident and can take charge of an offense. Forces things too much; rarely sets himself properly and too often throws off-balance so he can get rid of the ball. Throws into coverage at times, rather than checking his progressions. His maturity and leadership have been questioned. Is not much of an improvisor.
Long Range Potential: Quick-throwing, pocket-passing quarterback with a little upside.
