Excels as a short-range run stopper; he features good lateral agility and is adept at sorting through blocks to reach his target. A respected on-field leader, he can inspire teammates with a relentless work rate and vocal presence. Is not a great option in coverage and at times will rotate out on designated passing downs. Is ideally suited to an inside linebacker position in a 3-4 defensive scheme (but he can play outside 'backer in a 4-3 setup).
