Was superb at sizing up the action quickly, usually either making a solid tackle or a play on the ball. Was a physical, well-rounded defender who simply made plays. A solid tackler who got occasional picks, he was somewhat undersized and lacked muscle mass. Furthermore, he had good (but not great) speed. Had difficulty matching up against experienced and/or physical wide receivers.
