He may be low-profile (despite his huge frame) and underrated (despite his physical presence and overall skills) but this surprisingly athletic wideout (a star player in high school) is emerging as one of the best small-school receivers in recent memory. Possesses a long reach as a receiver, has solid hands, has the physical attributes to separate himself from coverage on short routes and, above all, has surprising speed. Still inexperienced, he?s far from being the total package at wide receiver (he can also line up at tight end) and will need to improve his skills as a route runner and his technique as a blocker but he can be useful in a specific role in the NFL.
A smallish forward with plenty of energy, he is highly skilled and quite versatile (he can line up either at center or wing, which adds to his overall value). His professional position might end up being wing, as he might be too slight to play the role of No. 3 defender down low as a center. Either way, he must get physically stronger to maximize output at the highest level. He will need to improve his play without the puck, as well. Diminutive but talented and energetic forward with upside.
A magician with the puck on his tape, he can stickhandle through heavy traffic with relative ease. Also, he knows where to be in order to score goals and owns a very good shot. As good as he is at lighting the lamp, he is even better at passing and setting up teammates. Is not big at all, so he will need to get physically stronger in order to maximize output at the highest level. Could also stand to improve his skating. Loves to play the game of hockey, and it shows on the ice. Talented, flashy winger with good upside.
Not recognized with any significant postseason awards for 2011, Burfict is coming off a notably disappointing campaign and a tough Indy Combine. After being named Pac-10 Defensive Freshman of the Year earlier in his college career, Burfict looked like an almost guaranteed NFL star; yet his very slow time in Indy and widespread rumors of maturity issues have put his potential in question. When on his game and in shape, Burfict is an energetic and athletic big hitter, a player who uses explosive quickness to penetrate the line and get to ball-carriers all over the field. He is a very active bull-rusher and is the type of player who simply makes big plays. His character issues, decline last season, and conditioning question marks make him very risky, but the talent is there for Burfict to be a steal in the right system.
Has a very projectable frame and loads of power forward qualities. Can be a tenacious forechecker with a hard shot and very good playing acumen. Does not always bring his physical game to the rink, so he must work on his game-to-game consistency. Also, he does not always use his powerful shot enough and passes up too many quality scoring chances in favor of deferring to others. Can play both center and wing. Big, playmaking power forward with some upside.
A true playmaker, he is also versatile enough to play both center and wing (mostly on the right side, his off-wing). Has excellent puck skills and great vision. He passes the puck with aplomb but needs to work on his shooting ability in order to maximize production at the highest level. Does not have ideal size for the NHL, so he will need to add more bulk and get stronger. Versatile playmaker with upside.
