Desharnais notched two assists, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Ducks.
Desharnais (undisclosed) told reporters he would be in the lineup against Montreal on Tuesday, stating "I'm good. I'm ready to go," per Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic.
The massive shutdown defenseman has no hesitation about hitting opponents, especially if it means giving his goaltender a better look at incoming shots. His punishing style makes life uncomfortable for opposing forwards. Improved skating has made him a useful penalty killer who can play a lot of minutes, despite not contributing a lot offensively.
