Fluid and quick in the crease, he used mobility to react and got to pucks in his area. Dropped into his butterfly efficiently, and was solid sliding to adjust. Displayed nice reflexes on both his glove and blocker sides. Was successful in the collegiate ranks and worked hard to improve his craft. Despite solid size he too often got small in the net, defaulting to his butterfly too reactively. He often left the upper half of the net open too, in part because he would stay back in the crease area rather than get out to challenge shooters. Lacked extensive experience as a No. 1 netminder.

Long Range Potential: Quick, hard-working depth goaltender.
