Owns the size NHL teams crave along the blueline. Has a big frame and decent skating ability. Can log big minutes because he is a rather low-maintenance D-man. Is a solid shutdown option. Does not always use his size to the best of his capability, as he is not overly physical. Is not a natural offensive defenseman and can struggle if pressured with the puck on his stick.
