Burns notched a power-play assist on six shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the Capitals.
Burns recorded a pair of assists, two hits, a blocked shot and one shot on goal in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Maple Leafs.
Owner of one of the NHL's most distinctive grins (because of his missing teeth), he remains one of the league's most productive defensemen even though he is now closer to 40 than 30. Is huge but still very mobile, and remains capable of devouring 25-plus minutes per game night after night. Still an excellent skater, he has terrific passing skills to run a power play. Also, his sneaky-good shot can force teams to pay attention to it. He has to avoid the temptation to try to do too much with the puck.
Long Range Potential: High-end veteran offensive defenseman.
