Andersen will have knee surgery Friday.
Per Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer, Andersen (lower body) is out indefinitely, coach Rod Brind'Amour said Friday.
The first NHL goaltender born in Denmark knows how to put wins on the board: he was the fourth-fastest netminder in league history to earn 200 victories and could double that total before he is through. He is big and strong, takes up a lot of net and, at his best, rarely gives shooters much space. He has to prove he can stay healthy over longer stretches and is probably best in a market where he is not in the spotlight constantly.
