BUCKS MOVE BROGDON TO INDIANA
The Indiana Pacers acquired guard Malcolm Brogdon from the Milwaukee Bucks for a first-round draft pick in 2020 and two future second-round draft picks.
What does it give the Indiana Pacers
The Pacers lost starting guard Darren Collison to retirement, so they moved very quickly to land Brogdon from a division rival. It cost them three draft picks but Indiana should be better with Brogdon, especially after Victor Oladipo returns from his injury. Together, they will form a dynamic duo.
What does it give the Milwaukee Bucks
This is a major blow to the best team in the 2018-19 regular season, as Brogdon apparently needed to be sacrificed in order to keep the likes of small forward Khris Middleton and center Brook Lopez (two unrestricted free agents). Replacing Brogdon will not be easy, but adding three picks may help with that.
Fantasy impact
Brogdon should see a spike in fantasy value in Indiana, especially early on when Oladipo is still missing from the lineup. Even when the latter returns, Brogdon's fantasy prospects are solid. He can be drafted with confidence in 2019.
