The Phoenix Suns acquired guard/forward Landry Shamet from the Brooklyn Nets for guard Jevon Carter and center/forward Day'Ron Sharpe.
What does it give the Phoenix Suns
In Shamet, the Suns land a good outside shooter and scoring option off the bench. He should help whenever Devin Booker needs rest, but he may also play a lot with Booker on the floor at the same time.
What does it give the Brooklyn Nets
With James Harden and Kyrie Irving running the show in Brooklyn, guard Shamet was deemed expendable. Carter will provide depth at both guard positions, while Sharpe is a projectable big man for now.
Fantasy impact
Shamet has some decent value in deeper leagues, where bench players are drafted regularly. Carter should not be drafted, while Sharpe may be selected in the deepest of keeper leagues this year.
