ROCKETS, CELTICS SWAP FOUR
The Houston Rockets acquired guard Dennis Schroder and centers Enes Freedom and Bruno Fernando from the Boston Celtics for center Daniel Theis.
What does it give the Houston Rockets
The Rockets get a prolific scoring guard off the bench in Schroder, while Freedom and Fernando add size and center depth. This is a good deal for Houston, since Theis was not being utilized much in '21-22.
What does it give the Boston Celtics
Boston gets Theis back and dumps three players in the process, so this deal makes sense from the Celtics' perspective as well. Still, they probably could have gotten more in this trade.
Fantasy impact
Schroder could become one of the best sixth men down the stretch, unless Houston decides to use him as the starting point guard. Either way, his fantasy stock should rise as a Rocket. None of Theis, Freedom or Fernando should be picked up.
