What does it give the Brooklyn Nets
O'Neale is a solid veteran forward whose trademark is his stifling defense. He is likely to be part of Brooklyn's starting lineup going forward, even though the Nets seem to be on the verge of shaking things up in a massive way.
What does it give the Utah Jazz
The Jazz could be looking at a transitional phase moving forward, especially if they decide to trade center Rudy Gobert (as has been rumored). Getting a first-round pick for O'Neale is a nice way to start the retooling process.
Fantasy impact
O'Neale's fantasy stock should not rise exponentially even after the move to Brooklyn. He is predominantly a defensive stopper, so there is no need to draft him in many league formats.
