WISEMAN, BEY MOVED IN FOUR-TEAM TRADE

In a four-team trade, the Atlanta Hawks acquired forward/guard Saddiq Bey from the Detroit Pistons; Detroit acquired center James Wiseman from the Golden State Warriors; Golden State acquired guard/forward Gary Payton II from the Portland Trail Blazers, and three conditional future second-round draft picks from the Hawks, and Portland acquired forward Kevin Knox II from the Pistons, and five future second-round draft picks from the Warriors.

What does it give the Atlanta Hawks
Bey is a versatile player who should help Atlanta immensely. He has played three positions for Detroit but is most likely to be needed at forward with the Hawks.

What does it give the Detroit Pistons
Wiseman adds more depth at center for a young Pistons team that has Jalen Duren as its starter of the future. Wiseman needed a change, so he could surprise in Motown.

What does it give the Golden State Warriors
Golden State decided to give up on Wiseman's talent in order to bring back Payton II, who should be a key cog in their rotation down the stretch. The Warriors also recuperated a few second-rounders from Atlanta to offset the picks sent to Portland.

What does it give the Portland Trail Blazers
Knox II could see regular rotation minutes in Portland at either forward position. Five future seconds make this a great trade for Portland, since Payton II was never going to see starter's minutes on a regular basis with the Trail Blazers moving forward.

Fantasy impact
Bey's fantasy stock should remain solid moving from Detroit to Atlanta, though he may struggle to see as many minutes or score as many points as he did in Motown. Wiseman may not be much of a fantasy factor until '23-24, but this move should help his fortunes moving forward. Payton II's fantasy stock is down, while Knox II is a bit of a wild card at this time.
