MORRIS MOVED TO T-WOLVES
The Minnesota Timberwolves acquired guard Monte Morris from the Detroit Pistons for guard Shake Milton, forward/guard Troy Brown Jr. and a second-round draft pick in 2030.
What does it give the Minnesota Timberwolves
Morris is a capable backup point guard who is nice insurance for Minnesota and veteran point guard Mike Conley. Morris should be a nice fit for the Timberwolves down the stretch.
What does it give the Detroit Pistons
The Pistons are in full rebuilding mode, so adding a second-round pick down the road is the key to this deal. Brown Jr. might be serviceable for Detroit, but Milton could be waived.
Fantasy impact
Morris is a decent backup guard, but do not bother picking him up in most leagues. Brown Jr. and Milton are also off the radar.
