MAVERICKS, MAGIC SWITCH SECOND-ROUND PICKS
The Orlando Magic acquired forward Milovan Rakovic and cash considerations to the Dallas Mavericks for forward Reyshawn Terry.
What does it give the Orlando Magic
In Rokovic the Magic curiously pick another Euro big-man, which is a little strange since they got burned by Fran Vazquez staying across the pond in the 2005 draft. Regardless, if Rakovic comes over he will be a nice addition, as he has major sleeper appeal and a good work ethic. The same can't really be said of Terry, so the fact Orlando also adds cash makes this a nice overall move.
What does it give the Dallas Mavericks
Terry is a risky pick-up to say the least, which makes this a bit of a head-scratcher for the Mavs. They obviously love his athelticism, but the fact they gave up cash as well makes this a questionable move. He may pan out and be another Josh Howard type for them, but he may also get stuck in the D-League.
