COWBOYS ADD O-LINEMAN EHINGER
The Dallas Cowboys acquired offensive lineman Parker Ehinger from the Kansas City Chiefs for cornerback Charvarius Ward.
What does it give the Dallas Cowboys
Dallas needed help on the interior of their offensive line, with center Travis Frederick currently dealing with an autoimmune disease. Ehinger will likely provide depth at guard, which was Joe Looney's old job before being forced to start at center in place of Frederick. Look for Ehinger to push projected starting left guard Connor Williams throughout 2018.
What does it give the Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs obviously felt comfortable enough with their offensive line depth over the course of the preseason to send Ehinger to Dallas. In return, they have added some depth to their secondary with Ward (who was not likely to make the Cowboys' 53-man roster). He stands a better chance with Kansas City, though there are no guarantees.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as Ehinger is an offensive lineman and Ward is expected to serve as depth with the Chiefs (if he makes the team).
