SEATTLE PLUCKS PARRY NICKERSON FROM THE JETS

The Seattle Seahawks acquired cornerback Parry Nickerson from the New York Jets for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2021.

What does it give the Seattle Seahawks
After landing edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney from Houston earlier, the Seahawks turned their attention to the secondary here. Nickerson is merely a depth move, though. He has a chance to stick mostly because of a lack of depth at cornerback for Seattle.

What does it give the New York Jets
Nickerson was not going to make the cut for the Jets this year, especially after the team acquired Nate Hairston from Indianapolis in an earlier swap. Therefore, they decided to trade Nickerson to Seattle for a conditional last-rounder in the '21 draft.

Fantasy impact
There is no impact at all here, as Nickerson will be hard-pressed to maintain a spot on the Seahawks' 53-man roster for all of 2019.
