ATLANTA ADDS SAFETY CYPRIEN
The Atlanta Falcons acquired safety Johnathan Cyprien and a seventh-round draft pick in 2020 from the Philadelphia Eagles for linebacker Duke Riley and a sixth-round draft pick in 2020.
What does it give the Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have issues at the safety positions, especially after losing Keanu Neal for the rest of the season due to an Achilles injury. Cyprien is not on Neal's level as a defender but he will help Atlanta.
What does it give the Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are fairly deep at the safety positions, and Cyprien was coming off the bench for Philadelphia as a result. So, they moved him to Atlanta for a better draft pick and a backup linebacker in Riley.
Fantasy impact
There is not a lot of fantasy impact to speak of here, as Cyprien is not guaranteed to start right away for the Falcons and Riley will see limited snaps as a backup linebacker for the Eagles.
