ALLEN ROBINSON SENT TO THE STEELERS

The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired wide receiver Allen Robinson and a seventh-round draft pick in 2023 (No. 251 overall) from the Los Angeles Rams for a seventh-round draft pick in 2023 (No. 234 overall).

What does it give the Pittsburgh Steelers
In Robinson, the Steelers are getting a veteran wideout to complete their quality group of receivers. That includes Diontae Johnson, George Pickens and tight end Pat Freiermuth. Second-year quarterback Kenny Pickett should benefit from Robinson's presence in 2023.

What does it give the Los Angeles Rams
The Rams essentially took what they could get for Robinson, and what they got was very little. LA still has to pay $10.25 million of Robinson's salary to move up 17 spots in the final round of this year's draft. The Rams save a little bit on the salary cap, so that is one positive here.

Fantasy impact
Robinson's fantasy value does not improve much moving from LA to Pittsburgh. In fact, he was probably better off in Los Angeles from a fantasy standpoint, but that was never going to happen. In Pittsburgh, he might be the third-best receiving option (at best). Pass on Robinson on draft day.
