JORDAN GREENWAY GOES TO BUFFALO

The Buffalo Sabres acquired winger Jordan Greenway from the Minnesota Wild for a second-round draft pick in 2023 and a fifth-round draft pick in 2024.

What does it give the Buffalo Sabres
This is a great move for Buffalo, a young team that has loads of offensive talent and potential. Greenway has struggled offensively this season, but there should be less pressure to produce on a Sabres squad that will definitely love his size, grit and two-way prowess.

What does it give the Minnesota Wild
The Wild have some salary cap issues, so dropping Greenway's contract helps them in that regard. That said, his absence leaves a massive hole (literally) in the lineup, so expect Minnesota to make another deal to try to replace what Greenway brought to the table.

Fantasy impact
Greenway could be useful in fantasy leagues that emphasize hits. His offensive game has been stuck in neutral, but perhaps Buffalo is the right place for him to get on track. Take a chance on him.
