Sierra agreed Monday with Atlanta on a minor-league contract and received an invitation to MLB spring training, Double-A Mississippi broadcaster Chris Harris reports.
Scouting Report
Is an excellent defender in center field, since he has great range. Runs very well, so he can be an impact player on the bases. Makes consistent contact and owns a lot of table-setting qualities. His power is significantly limited, so do not expect him to hit a lot of home runs in Major League Baseball. Also, he needs to become more selective at the plate (so as to draw more walks).
Long Range Potential: Speedy table setter and great defensive outfielder with upside.
