General manager Ross Atkins said Monday that Ryu (elbow) has been throwing bullpen sessions at the Blue Jays' spring training complex in Florida, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
The Blue Jays transferred Ryu (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
Has excellent stuff and the ability to rack up impressive strikeout totals. Also owns plenty of deception in his delivery, which makes him even harder to hit against. Needs to remain in great shape, because injuries can play a role here. Must also maximize both his control and fastball command to maximize output in the big leagues.
Long Range Potential: Talented, inconsistent left-hander, when healthy.
