Adams signed a minor-league contract with the Rockies on Monday that includes an invitation to spring training, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Scouting Report
Owns a deep arsenal of pitches, including a quality fastball and superb slider, plus solid offerings in his curve and changeup. Overall, his stuff is great and he clearly has the weapons to succeed as a starter in MLB. Lacks an aggressive approach on the bump, which can often hinder his performance. Has a tendency to try to be too fine with his pitches, instead of simply trusting his stuff to get the job done. Lacks ideal height.
Long Range Potential: Talented right-hander with upside.
