Had speed, power, a great wingspan and tremendous first move off the edge. Was also very active and disruptive with his hands, causing fumbles and incompletions. Had enough size to play a classic end role but was at his best as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense. Had a tendency to be overly aggressive at times. As a linebacker, he could struggle in pass coverage when too slow to react and did not always read the action as well as he should. As a defensive end, he lacked a little explosiveness off the line.
