Cimber has been cleared for regular activity after coming down with left hamstring tightness last Thursday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Cimber (shoulder) signed a one-year, $1.65 million contract with the Angels on Wednesday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
A deceptive, side-arming right-hander, he can generate decent pop on his fastball. Also throws a solid slider and changeup, which can throw hitters off. Can be used on consecutive days in the big leagues. Might be even more effective at the highest level if he were to add some more bulk to his lanky, 6-4 frame. Also, there are times when he can be a bit too hittable for a pitcher in Major League Baseball.
Long Range Potential: Solid, side-arming right-hander.
