Teams have contacted the Bengals about trading for Higgins but have been told he isn't available, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
Higgins announced Monday via his personal social media accounts that the Bengals have informed him he will receive the franchise tag.
His reputation precedes him as a marquee-caliber talent with remarkable stature and championship pedigree. A household name in the ACC as a playmaking deep threat during his college days, he sends defenses into panic mode with his hand skills and leaping ability, routinely winning high-point catches due to superior height and length. Eats up terrain with long strides and can line up outside or in the slot. Lacks some explosiveness and a pure sprint gear. Also, he needs some tutelage as a route runner in order to maximize his impact as a pro.
Long Range Potential: Quality, big-play wide receiver with good upside.
