Marner agreed to terms on an eight-year, $96 million contract with the Golden Knights after being traded from Toronto on Monday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.
Scouting Report
Was an elite scorer in junior hockey and remains one as he heads into the prime of his NHL career. He is a terrific passer and is at his best when teamed with linemates who like to shoot the puck, but has a good enough shot to keep opponents honest. Plays on both special teams and is capable of playing 20-plus minutes on a nightly basis, despite a slender frame.
Long Range Potential: Elite playmaking forward.
