Sandin provided an assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Canadiens in Game 3.
Sandin notched an assist, two blocked shots and a minus-3 rating in Thursday's 5-4 shootout win over the Hurricanes.
Is an excellent skater and passer who has shown at lower levels that he can put up points. But his game is built on his superb on-ice vision and hockey smarts, which enable him to affect the game even without the puck on his stick. He drives play well from the back end, has good composure when under pressure from opposing forecheckers and can make a quick, effective first pass. Should get stronger as he continues to mature.
Long Range Potential: Mobile offensive defenseman with some upside.
