Fant (groin) won't play Sunday against the Rams, and per coach Mike Macdonald, the tight end's status after a Week 10 bye isn't certain, Colin Gunther of the Seahawks' official site reports.

A prototypical "move" tight end, he has the hands, speed and athletic gifts to become a feature in the passing game. A background in track and basketball is evident in his long, smooth stride and leaping ability; he gets off the mark quickly to offer a big target in open space. Is plenty fast enough to beat linebackers and some defensive backs on midrange and deeper routes. Is adequate as an in-line pass blocker but is often subbed out on rushing downs. Also, he must continue to work on his route-running technique and on winning contested throws.
Long Range Potential: Talented, impact receiving tight end with good upside.
