The Patriots placed Strange (knee) on the reserve/PUP list Tuesday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Strange (knee) is expected to miss the start of the regular season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
A smart, tough, intelligent offensive guard, he is perfect for a zone scheme. Gets good early position and can sustain blocks. He dominated at the FCS level. However, he needs to get stronger and improve his technique to cope with NFL linemen. Has excellent lateral quickness and understands angles well as a move blocker. Also, he could offer versatility at the center position.
Long Range Potential: Plug-and-play interior offensive lineman.
