Mitchell (hand) has been ruled out for Sunday's wild-card round game against the Rams, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Scouting Report
The athletic, big-framed tight end has a basketball background, so he knows how to shield defenders from the ball. He catches with his hands, and has the speed and athleticism to create separation. However, he has to become a better route runner, improve his run blocking and get used to the speed of the NFL. He lost most of his senior college football season to knee surgery, but has rebounded nicely from it.
Long Range Potential: Versatile tight end.
