The Jets placed McGovern (knee) on their injured reserve list Monday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
McGovern, who sustained a knee injury in Sunday's 13-10 overtime win against the Giants, is set to undergo an MRI and is expected to miss time, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Brings immense brute strength, huge hands, and good overall ability for a pro O-lineman. Able to consistently push opponents around off the snap, and is also a good technician with smarts and sneaky-good athleticism. Has shown positional versatility, with ability to step in almost anywhere along the O-line. While strong and mobile he's not very explosive, and while solidly athletically he sometimes gets caught lunging off-balance. A bit undersized when playing at offensive tackle, and would benefit overall by finding his niche as a pro blocker.
Long Range Potential: Versatile interior offensive lineman.
