The Thunder announced Thursday that Hartenstein suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left hand and will be re-evaluated in 5-6 weeks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Hartenstein delivered 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-7 FT), three rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block across 21 minutes in Tuesday's 124-94 preseason win over the Nuggets.
A true 7-footer who's also very mobile, athletic, and coordinated. Shows above-average court vision, and does a great job keying transition with his outlet passes. Fills the lane like a forward. A lefty shooter who can get hot from the perimeter. Possesses more than enough agility to be a very good defender. Has a lot of untapped talent. Streaky. Too often plays out of control at both ends of the floor, and gets both turnover-prone and foul-prone. Forces things far too much, leaning too regularly on his athleticism rather than on fundamentals. Has stellar overall talent but would benefit by reining things in and finding a role early in the NBA.
Long Range Potential: Athletic, skilled 7-footer (in need of more focus and consistency).
