PIRATES ADD PITCHER BRADY DRAGMIRE

The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired pitcher Brady Dragmire from the Toronto Blue Jays for cash.

What does it give the Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pirates obviously like Dragmire's long-range potential, since he is still only 23 years old with some untapped upside. He reached Double-A ball in 2016, so expect Dragmire to begin 2017 in the minor-leagues (Triple-A ball?) once again.

What does it give the Toronto Blue Jays
The Blue Jays decided to give up on Dragmire, who sported a 4.38 earned-run average in 45 appearances with New Hampshire this season (he also earned one save). Instead of moving him in the off-season, they traded him for cash.

Fantasy impact
He does not have a lot of overall fantasy upside, so Dragmire is not a player to keep on the radar until further notice.
