WHITE SOX ADD EDWIN JACKSON

The Chicago White Sox acquired pitcher Edwin Jackson from the Arizona Diamondbacks for pitchers Daniel Hudson and David Holmberg.

What does it give the Chicago White Sox
In Jackson, the White Sox land an upgrade for their starting rotation. He will help replace the injured Jake Peavy and possibly slide into the No. 2 or 3 starter role in Chicago. Of course, there are also rumblings that Jackson may be immediately shipped out in another trade. Stay tuned.

What does it give the Arizona Diamondbacks
Hudson is a solid pitching prospect for a club in total rebuilding mode. Hudson should immediately replace Jackson in Arizona's rotation and could even become the ace of the staff down the road. Holmberg is quite far away from the bigs, but he has some upside as a lefty starter.
