ORIOLES BRING IN PITCHER YEFRY RAMIREZ

The Baltimore Orioles acquired pitcher Yefry Ramirez from the New York Yankees for international bonus pool money in 2017-18.

What does it give the Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles get a decent pitcher in the 23-year-old Ramirez, who can be used as both a starter and reliever in the minors. Baltimore usually does not like to help the Yankees, but they made an exception here because of Ramirez' relative upside.

What does it give the New York Yankees
The Yankees needed to create a spot on their 40-man roster, which is why they moved Ramirez to the division-rival Orioles in exchange for international bonus money (which is something the Yankees will undoubtedly use to their advantage).

Fantasy impact
Ramirez is not a top prospect, but the pitching-starved O's might need him more than most franchises. Therefore, his fantasy stock for the future is on the rise after this deal.
