BRAD BOXBERGER TO ARIZONA

The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired pitcher Brad Boxberger from the Tampa Bay Rays for pitcher Curtis Taylor.

What does it give the Arizona Diamondbacks
The Diamondbacks hope Boxberger can get back to full health in 2018. If he can, he is likely to compete for the closer gig in Arizona next season. The talent is there, but the 29-year-old has often been beset by injuries throughout his career in the big leagues.

What does it give the Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays are always looking to cost payroll, so dealing Boxberger to Arizona at this time continues that trend. In Taylor, the Rays land a towering right-hander with plenty of projection and upside (he is only 22 years old). He is a solid addition for Tampa Bay.

Fantasy impact
Boxberger's fantasy stock is back on the rise, especially if he is to earn the closer role in Arizona next season. As for Taylor, he should now be on the keeper-league radar. He is several years away from MLB, though.
